What have I been upto?
It’s just been Easter weekend which coincided with my mum’s birthday. It was a milestone so I took the day off and went to Colwyn Bay to celebrate. My birthday gift to her was the Primate Experience at the Welsh Mountain Zoo, which I also went on. It was great fun and whilst my mum wasn’t comfortable in handling the bugs, she did enjoy feeding the gibbons (which ate fruit). Me on the other hand loved feeding the lemurs – which are my favourite animals there.

As well as that, I’ve been walking a lot of the West Pennine Moors with Fern and her family, and just having a few days of downtime. The run up to Easter was quite intense, so I’ve enjoyed having a few days with the foot off the gas.
What I have been enjoying?
My TV viewing has been mainly binge watching Handcuffed, which is a bit of a social experiment/parade humans as animals that saw polar opposites handcuffed to each other for 2 weeks to see how they interact. It was not exactly the most intellectually stimulating TV show I’ve ever watched in my life, but surprisingly heartwarming at times, certainly ended up quite nuanced and not quite black and white – which is okay? I guess.

I also started Race Across the World Season 6, which does nothing except give me places to visit!
What is upcoming?
Oddly, a relatively quiet week. I hope to do my taxes this week (as we are in a new tax year, I like to do it early on in the year), and maybe catch up on a lot of the jobs I’ve got on. The cricket season should start this week with the first game – although I’m doubting I’ll get picked, and I’m doubting it’ll be on with the rain.
Other than that, not much! Maybe the Newton-le-Willows beer festival at some point. It’s stumbling distance for me.
